I believe that the United States Constitution is still the law of the land and in ruling effect because of several things. One is that the Constitution was written by the Founding Fathers with the mind-frame that the growing country would last and stand firm for years and years. From the idea that the Founding Fathers were thinking with the future in mind, I believe that the Constitution is timeless, by that I mean, it was written in the late 1700’s and the United States still uses the Constitution as the base of our government today, in 2009; our founding fathers truly were thinking about the future when they wrote it.
What makes the Constitution timeless is that the laws, sections, articles, and rights can be applied to anywhere and time in the United States, or in the world for that fact, and still work properly. Within the constitution, it allows rights to the people, gives government three branches for fair control, and it gives what is and what is not right in the eyes of Justice. If over time, a view changes and something in the Constitution must be changed, added, or voided, can be made with amendments, this is true because amends have been made between 1798 and 1992.
The Constitution, to me and to many other Americans, deems fair, right, and it is unbiased to the people and government. All these factors of the timeless doctrine that we call, The Constitution, helps me to believe that this is why a +200 year old document can still be used and effective in this day and age.
your right it is fair and i think the constitution is timeless.
